Claire Wild, AMFT

Hi, I’m Claire, an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist offering both in-person and remote therapy to clients throughout California.

I am a crisis hotline supervisor at San Francisco Suicide Prevention as well as a founding member of Cocoon Collective. I support clients navigating grief, anxiety, attachment insecurity, complex relationship dynamics including non-monogamy, depression and existential questions, and life transitions. My approach is influenced by Gestault, relational psychodynamic, and humanistic therapies.

I believe that change happens through relationship. When we build a strong and secure relationship in therapy, we can create opportunities to practice healthy communication, boundaries, and vulnerability. My style is warm, non-judgmental, and grounded, with a touch of humor.

I’m committed to helping my clients discover their most authentic selves, improve their relationships, and find a deeper sense of aliveness and belonging. It’s often scary to reach out for help, and I congratulate you for taking the first step. Being human can be hard, but you don't have to do it alone!

Therapeutic Approaches

Gestalt & Relational Therapy

A present-centered, experiential approach that emphasizes awareness of what's happening in the here and now — in the body, in the room, and between people. The live relationship becomes the vehicle for change.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

Working with the internal system of parts to understand protective strategies, unburden wounded parts, and restore access to core Self energy. A compassionate framework for inner complexity.

Existential & Humanistic Therapy

Working with the big questions — meaning, freedom, isolation, mortality — not as problems to solve but as conditions to live with more fully and honestly. Grounded in the belief that every person has the capacity for growth.

Psychodynamic & Attachment-Based Therapy

Exploring how early relational patterns and unconscious dynamics shape your present experience. Building a secure therapeutic relationship as a foundation for deeper self-understanding and change.
